Initial Motivation for Starting the Business

Before I established BeeInventor, I had worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years. I have a passion for technology, and I believe our industry can benefit significantly by adopting more technologies. The first thing I wanted to improve was the poor safety records in the construction industry, which are above average. Thus, "improve safety by technology" became our motto.

Challenges in the Early Stages

Our journey began in 2017 with just myself in a shared space borrowed from a friend's office. I am grateful that we were admitted into the Hong Kong Science Park incubation programme after a few months. This gave us a proper office, and the team started to grow. The incubation programme provided great help to us in all areas of R&D for our main product, DasLoop, the smart helmet. Today, it remains our main revenue generator.

Setbacks in Technological Breakthroughs

The development of DasLoop and future products in the Das series has been both challenging and rewarding. The growth of our team has gone hand-in-hand with the evolution of our products. We have solved problems, both technical and non-technical, one by one, and now DasLoop is in its third generation. I am proud to say that it is the most comprehensive smart helmet in the world for the industry.

The Test of Market Competition

DasLoop was first launched in the market in 2019. It was one of the few smart helmets available at the time, and it had many issues. I am truly thankful to our first customers, who had an innovative mindset and supported startups. We gained invaluable field experience, allowing us to improve our product, and we are still refining it today. We face competition from similar products and other wearables, but we continue to survive and thrive. For this, I thank our hard-working team and the customers who support us.

The Cohesion and Growth of Our Team

Among all the challenges, the support and unity of the team are our greatest assets. Our employees are not just colleagues; they are our closest comrades. We have a stable team, and most of the founding members are still with us. Now, we operate from four offices in Hong Kong, Taipei, Fukuoka, and Singapore within the APEC region.

Outlook for the Future

We will continue to develop and enhance our Das series of products and bring our innovative and unique offerings to more markets. I believe our products, utilizing the latest IoT technology, can improve the health and safety standards of the construction industry, and in the future, they will also enhance efficiency. At the same time, BeeInventor will create value for our customers and a fruitful future for our employees.
